Currently a player may reserve one character for 7 days.

Reserves open at 5 AM (CST) on the 1st every month, and will be held three days into the application period, giving non-reserved players the ability to apply for the reserved character if the player reserving do not apply before that.

Naturally you do not have to reserve OCs, but it's good to know what division you're interested in for them!
