RULES
NO GODMODDING/METAGAMING
GODMODDING is when you use your character to control the actions of another. If you attack someone in a post and immediately say you hurt them without their input, itâs considered godmodding since the other played does not have the chance to react. If you say another playerâs character was in a certain area without their input, itâs godmodding, because they could not make that choice for their own character. Certain amounts of assuming is okay, as is minor godmodding with the other playerâs approval is allowed.
METAGAMING is when your character has the same knowledge as their player does. If you as a player personally read things done in a log between other characters or in general not officially known, your character shouldn't know what happened because they wouldnât have been able to see it or read it. Likewise, if you are given information on an event or player plot, your character will not automatically know what is going on.
STAY ACTIVE
Put in the required amounts of comments from a log, post or event in the activity check once a month, and weâll be happy. This means a sign of life and interest in the game, and avoids character squatting and suffering canonmates/CR. Details of the Activity Check can be found here.
PLOT NOTICE
If you plan to run a plot or anything similar that affects a large part of the game, the ship, space and/or characters, please contact the mods in advance so we know about it. Most plots do not need approval, but if it fits in any of the previously mentioned categories it should be planned with the mods.
DROPS & HIATUS
When dropping a character, please use the drop post. To avoid any confusion or issues, please do not leave the communities and drop without at least contacting the mods.
Don't just idle out. That's not fun for anyone and will end in a ban from the next app round.
18+ CONTENT
Anything involving sexual content must be labeled properly and not involve players under 18. Extreme violence and other commonly triggering subjects must also be made clear. This is for the comfort of our players and other issues. We are not the purity police, however, so have fun behind your warnings.
PROBLEMS
If there are any problems with the game, players or plot, please contact the mods and let us handle it. This includes everything from player harassment to tiny information typos in the mod posts. We appreciate your help!
Remember to keep OOC problems out of IC actions. If you have a problem with someone, your character shouldnât be reflecting that. If you do have a problem with somebody, please be mature and try speaking to them first. It might just have been a misunderstanding. Use Opt-Out posts and respect them.
Any kind of harassment and mean behavior towards players is under zero tolerance. Any of this brought to the mods with evidence will result in a ban. In addition, while we cannot regulate posts on plurk, discord or anon communities, please contact us instead and allow the moderators to try and handle the issue.
Any known wankers or trolls that have been causing problems in other games are not welcome. We reserve the right to not accept players who might make things uncomfortable for others. If such a person is applying to the game, please contact the mods with evidence of prior serious misconduct.
